Summer Camp News

Summer Camp Notes:

Pedros:

  1. As part of the Swimming Merit Badge, you need to bring long pants and a long sleeved shirt that can go into the water and be used as flotation devices. Synthetic pants and shirt are recommended.
  2. Pack 1 or 2 sheets for sleeping -- it will be hot. Don't forget your sleeping bag.
  3. Pack EVERYTHING on the summer camp packing list. Download the list from the website.
  4. Don't forget fun things: light sabers, squirt guns, sports equipment, water balloons, frisbees, and other play things.
  5. On the list, you will find the Scout Handbook, sunscreen, insect repellent. Don't forget these things!

Summer Camp 2008, Sun Jun 8 - Sat Jun 14, 2008

The departure date for summer camp to El Rancho Cima is just around the corner (June 7 for early crew and June 8 for the rest of the troop). If you have not already signed up to go, please do so next Monday.
The Fees for summer camp are $220.00 and final payment is due on June 2nd in order to attend; please see Mrs. Agnew.

Following is preliminary information about the trip to El Rancho Cima:

  • Gather at Sears Parking Lot 7 AM Sun, Jun 8, 2007
  • Troop assembly in the Sears parking lot on Kingwood Drive at 7 AM SHARP
  • Leave Kingwood at 8 AM to arrive at El Rancho Cima no later than 1 PM
  • PLEASE bring a sack lunch -- we will stop for lunch at a roadside park.
  • Troop will supply drinks.
  • Return to KUMC 5 PM Sat, Jun 14, 2007

Final Summer Camp Payment Due By June 2

To attend Summer Camp, final payment must be submitted at or before Monday, June 2 -- the next and the last meeting of the 2007-2008 Scouting year. We will not meet on Monday, May 26 in observance of Memorial Day.

You may drop off your payment before June 2 at Carol Agnew's house -- Sherwood Trail Village, across from Kingwood Park High School. Carol's address is

The NEW Troop 1377 Hats Have Arrived!

The new Troop 1377 hats are ready and available for purchase at the next meeting on Monday June 2nd. The cost will be $8.50. The yellow T-shirts and other accessories will also be available for sale for those who may need to stock up for summer camp; please see Mr. Goorsky and Kendall at the troop store.
