You can join Troop 1377 or just take a look -- come visit us at KUMC (Kingwood United Methodist Church) on most Monday nights during the school year.
Troop 1377 is for boys, young men and their families. Scouting is full of fun, excitement, and high adventure. Scouts will learn many skills, leadership, confidence, respect, trust, mental strength, and an understanding of what they can do for others.
There is no other program where boys and young men can develop leadership in a values-based program -- all are welcome.
Troop 1377 emphasizes fun, adventure, and service through an extensive outdoor program, skill-building courses, an advancement plan, and organized approach in providing service to the community.
Scouting offers a time-tested program that produces very fine citizens prepared for a rich life, dedicated family members, and strong community leaders.
Troop 1377 frequently gets away from it all into the great outdoors. Instead of spending weekends at their game consoles and in front of the television, they go camping, climbing, rappelling, kayaking and canoeing, swimming, and backpacking.
Boy Scouts is for boys and young men ages 11 to 18 years of age, or who have completed fifth grade, or for those who have received their Arrow of Light. No previous Scouting experience is needed to join a Boy Scout troop.
