The Finale -- The Eagle Court of Honor

Planning a World-Class Ceremony

Eagle Badge

A Letter from the Hostess

Dear Eagle Scouts and Parents:

Troop 1377 has had over 120 Scouts achieve the rank of Eagle Scout in its thirty year history. Part of this rich history has included a Ceremony & Reception. The Ceremony & Reception are NOT a BSA requirement; therefore, it is up to the Eagle and family to decide how they want to recognize this special achievement.

Ceremonies & Receptions may range from elaborate, to simple, to none at all. If you and your Eagle decide you want a ceremony, planning needs to begin early. The more elaborate the ceremony, the earlier the planning.

As the Troop Hostess, my job is to provide you with information to help you get started and to help with the RECEPTION itself. The Troop provides this service to support the Scout and family so you may better enjoy the occasion. The Hostess, along with the helpers you have designated, will drape tables with Troop fabrics, help lay out snacks, serve cake & punch (unless you have designated this to a family member or friend), and help with clean-up.

After reviewing the ‘To Do Lists’, call me to schedule an appointment so we can discuss details, menu, etc.

Yours In Scouting,
