2007 Scout Sunday

In Honor of Scouts -- Sunday, February 11, 2007

What:

The Boy Scouts of America designates a Sunday in February as Scout Sunday, which is the primary date to recognize the contributions of young people and adults to Scouting.

When:

Sunday, February 11, 2007

Where:

Kingwood United Methodist Church (KUMC)

Who:

All Troop 1377 Scouts, Adult Scouters, Scout Parents, and other interested personnel; everyone is invited

Objective:

Scout Sunday tradition was started to make people in church aware of Scouting, and to allow Scouts to live out parts of what is pledged each week. The Scout Law says that a "Scout is Reverent" and the Scouts of all ages promise to do their "Duty to God". These values strengthen youth character in their family, community and faith.

Date / Time:

Sunday morning during one or more of KUMC's services -- to be determined

Requirements:

  • Arrive 15 minutes early
  • Wear dress Class A Uniform
